Jonathan Wilhite: Will need to compete well to get playing time/roster spot

Jonathan Wilhite analysis - Reiss' Pieces - Boston.com: "Of all positions, cornerback is shaping up to feature the most intense competition for playing time and roster spots. Add fourth-round draft choice Jonathan Wilhite of Auburn to the mix.
At 5-foot-9 1/2 and 185 pounds, Wilhite is considered undersized for the position, although his movements are said to be fluid and he excels in zone coverage, which is often what the Patriots play. He's played outside and in the slot.
In the early going, Wilhite would seemingly be competing for a job in sub packages. Making a mark on special teams will also be important for him to earn a roster spot.
He joins a group that includes the following players at the top of the cornerback depth chart (in alphabetical order):
Fernando Bryant
Ellis Hobbs
Mike Richardson
Lewis Sanders
Jason Webster
Terrence Wheatley
Safety Brandon Meriweather is also an option at the position. Tim Mixon and Antwain Spann are longer shots to contribute at cornerback"
