Jonathan Wilhite: Making a terrific first impression at minicamp

Patriots rookies huddle with Tom Brady - BostonHerald.com: "Defending his spot
One pre-draft scouting report essentially claimed cornerback Jonathan Wilhite had zero ball skills and “stone hands.”
That didn’t seem to be the case during the first session yesterday, as Wilhite broke on a ball, stepping in front of a receiver to pick off a pass. Later in the day, in the second session, he easily made the play of the day. He was marking a tryout receiver during 7-on-7 drills down the left side of the field. As the ball arrived, he perfectly timed his move, tipping the ball away, then apparently catching it while on his back.
Wilhite, however, claims he’s not trying to prove any of his critics wrong.
“I just want to go out and practice hard every day, do what I got to do to help get myself better and help the team any way I can,” he said.
Wilhite is wearing No. 24, which is Ty Law’s old number"
