Terrence Wheatley played in just six games in his rookie season before breaking his wrist while defending a pass against the Colts, and Jonathan Wilhite (28 tackles, one interception) also should see an increase in playing time in his second season.
At this point, the Patriots know what they are getting from corner Ellis Hobbs. Last year, in his fourth season in New England, Hobbs recorded 47 tackles (career avg.: 49 1/2) while making three interceptions. But the Patriots face a decision: keep Hobbs as the team’s No. 1 corner, find someone via free agency (such as the highly sought-after Nnamdi Asomugha) or draft a prospect out of college."
